LabCentral’s AI BioHub, located in Kendall Square, is designed to meet the growing demand for integrated AI and biotech resources. With support from a $1.9 million Sector Spark grant from MassTech—and in collaboration with AI venture studio C10 Labs—we are equipping startups with the wet lab space, advanced research tools, and AI infrastructure they need to drive innovation.

AI Bio Accelerator Program
Launching in Summer 2025, the first AI Bio Accelerator cohort will be co-led by C10 Labs and LabCentral, bringing together early-stage, AI-first biotech entrepreneurs in a 10-week program aimed at helping teams achieve product-market fit via rapid product prototyping, technical de-risking, and partnership development.
Participants will gain access to:
- Cutting-edge wet lab space and AI-powered research tools
- A network of industry-leading experts, mentors, and investors
- Hands-on support to refine business and technology strategies
- Entrepreneurship programming to accelerate growth
With a focus on applied AI in drug development, cohort members will work on the frontlines of innovation, leveraging AI to enhance experimental workflows and data-driven decision-making.
FAQs
The LabCentral AI BioHub is a new pathway into LabCentral for life sciences companies that are AI-forward in their development and research. It includes advanced equipment, programming, and sponsors specifically designed to support this new group of entrepreneurs needing control over multimodal data. It also consists of an intentionally curated community of AI/bio experts and resources to support these entrepreneurs.
The AI BioHub operates within LabCenral's flagship, state-of-the-art lab facilities in Kendall Square at 700 Main Street, Cambridge, MA.
The resources and advanced equipment within the AI BioHub are made available to LabCentral resident companies. In addition, companies participating in the AI BioHub Accelerator Program are also granted access during their cohort.
We're expanding our equipment offerings with new wet lab instrumentation, such as next-generation sequencing (NGS) and sample prep equipment, to enable residents and cohort participants to process samples efficiently and generate data to validate their AI/ML models.
AI BioHub users will also have varying levels of access to LabCentral's existing equipment located at the 700 Main Street location.
The AI Bio Accelerator Program from LabCentral, in partnership with C10 Labs, is designed to support early-stage startups at the intersection of AI and biotechnology. The 10-week program provides access to wet lab space, AI infrastructure, expert mentorship, and entrepreneurship programming.
The Accelerator Program is designed for early-stage founders and small teams working at the intersection of AI and life sciences, with a clear focus on improving human health. Ideal participants are pre-seed to seed-stage ventures working in therapeutics, drug discovery, diagnostics, medical devices, or life sciences platforms. We welcome applicants with a range of backgrounds—some may be experienced in AI but new to the life sciences, and vice versa—and first-time founders are encouraged to apply. Teams should expect to refine both their business and technical strategies during the program, with the goal of validating their technology in a wet lab environment, preparing for fundraising, and developing a product, service, or asset. Applicants should have a near-term need for wet lab access and be able to commit to working onsite at LabCentral’s Kendall Square location at least one full day per week during the program.
