APIC Bio, Inc.
APIC Bio was founded in 2017 to find cures for patients with genetic diseases. Leveraging nearly 30 years of research coming out of the Horae Gene Therapy Center at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) under the direction of founder and Chief Scientific Officer Christian Mueller, PhD, and Terence R. Flotte, MD the Celia and Isaac Haidak Professor in Medical Education, dean of the School of Medicine and provost and executive deputy chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, APIC is advancing gene therapies that both silence the mutant gene product and augment the normal gene product for the treatment of rare genetic disease with complex mechanisms. APIC’s current pipeline focuses on monogenic diseases in need of new and effective treatments.
