High School Apprenticeship Challenge: linking promising students with STEM industry internships
Join us to celebrate the work done by local students in our High School Apprenticeship Challenge. BioBuilder and the MA Life Sciences Center have partnered to provide Boston and Cambridge high school students with a rigorous skills-based training program that:
- inspires excitement in STEM,
- solidifies advanced knowledge in the life sciences and engineering design, and
- launches students into industry placements.
Aligning with the national campaign to increase math and science achievement over the next decade and develop key industry partnerships to build the future US STEM talent pool, our Apprenticeship Challenge works in collaboration with Boston-area industry to inspire, prepare, and match students with internships.
Our upcoming Poster Session provides a unique engagement opportunity for individuals from local community organizations, educational institutions, and the private sector. Our Apprentices will present the work that their research design teams have developed over the course of eight weeks of training at the state-of-the-art teaching and laboratory facilities in MIT's Department of Bioengineering and at Novartis.
