Event Agenda:
Section 1: History
Description: For some people, Juneteenth is a relatively new holiday and is engulfed in mystery and intrigue. To start the event, we will discuss the history of Juneteenth, its importance, and lasting impact.
Section 2: Love
Description: Before Juneteenth, many African Americans were separated from their families and partners due to slavery. The generational trauma of this separation still affects many African Americans and their experiences/relationships with love. Thus, in this section, we will focus on Black Love in America with a modern day approach.
Section 3: Identity
Description: In this final section, we will ask ourselves, "What does it mean to be Black in America in 2022?" In an attempt to answer this question, we will explore and celebrate the many different perspectives/identities that live under the eclectic umbrella of Blackness.
Section 4: Closing
