Please join us at we welcome Tess Atkinson and hear about her adventures in Africa as she captured the majesty of both the wildlife and the landscape.

Tess Atkinson hails from Worcestershire, England and has lived most of her life in Boston.  She graduated from Phillips Academy, Andover and Skidmore College.  During her junior year at Skidmore she studied photography and art history in Paris.  It was during that time that photography captured her heart. Tess spent the 1990s working at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Starting out in the Asiatic Department she eventually became Manager of Special Projects in the Director’s Office. At the MFA, Tess worked alongside some of this country’s leading curators as well as an inspiring director. In 2000 Tess left the MFA to raise a family and rediscovered her work in photography. She most recently studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. 

Her work is in private collections in England and the US including the collection at Massachusetts General Hospital.
