Please join us as we welcome Ken Rhodes, a Boston-based scientist and photographer (and LabCentral alum!) with a passion for capturing images of cities and landscapes in gorgeous, natural light. In his full-time science role, Ken is Chief Scientific Officer at Yumanity Therapeutics, a LabCentral alumni company, focusing on drug discovery for neurodegenerative diseases. When traveling and in his leisure time, Ken’s focus shifts to photography. It is here that he likes to find new perspectives on familiar places and capture images in beautiful light that are different from the norm. His focus is on travel and landscape photography, where he uses creative composition and long exposures to add visual interest. As a rule, Ken does not crop his photographs or make major changes to exposures using software. Most of Ken’s images are captured using a Phase One medium format digital camera, allowing images to be reproduced at very large sizes without a reduction in image quality.
