James is the operations manager at LabCentral 700 Main Street. The operations team handles the day-to-day building operations outside of the laboratory space and is there to assist residents with any issue that may arise on site. James and the operations team are the main points of contact for company on/off boarding, resident programming, tours, conference room management, and café operations. James is also on the space management team and assists companies as they grow within the LabCentral space.
Prior to LabCentral, James spent over 15 years in hospitality industry. Most recently, James led the reopening of North Andover Country Club’s clubhouse where he directed daily operations as their food and beverage manager. He has also managed and bartended at a few locals’ favorite restaurants in Somerville. Outside of work, James is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing music as well as hitting new local eateries with his wife Allison and son Nolan.
Favorite Science Experiment: In school, I remember burning cashews and other foods to measure the calories in various foods. It still surprises me that they trusted a bunch of teenagers with fire! In adult life, I enjoyed creating new cocktails for seasonal beverage menus and experimenting with different flavor profiles and combinations. Sometimes flavors that you would never associate with one another turned out to be manna from heaven!
