Harry Gerard

Program Specialist, LabCentral Ignite

Harry is the Ignite Program Specialist and focuses on STEM education/workforce developments and entrepreneurship, support programs with a layer of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. Harry also manages the Learning Lab operations and supports people operations with recruitment and internship programs. Previously, Harry worked as a lab operations associate supporting resident scientists with trainings on bioanalytical equipment, facilitating turnover processes and streamlining database and software systems controlling laboratory operations. Harry has a BA in French from Centre College (Danville, KY) and MS in Biomedical Sciences from Regis College (Weston, MA), where he also works on an international development initiative centered on improved nursing education and practice. Harry is also involved in a number of Haitian-focused groups promoting education and/or addressing regional social services needs in Haiti.

Favorite school science project: "A lasting memory from my school days in Haiti is converting waste to fertilizer using a compost heap. A cool project that has drawn me to science and taught me one of the many ways we can use human ingenuity in a low-resource setting.”
